Happenings
there is so much going on: fraught with nerves she is, mind spilling and spewing all over the whole place, ridiculousness ensues, and yet magic BLOOMS!
My last minute nonsense has led to this essay.
Hold on to the reigns of your unicorn friends, we are galloping all the way to mars and we are NOT coming back.
I was chocking on so many things I wanted to say and planned to say for this month. I wrote the entire essay but it just didn’t feel right.
Sometimes I struggle to share certain things. And then I feel horrible about it. Horrible that I can’t share it all of a sudden. Heart beating faster, wondering:
What’s wrong? Am I BROKEN?
And then, other times, I shake myself out of self-pity and realize I have rules: There are things I don’t want to share or am not ready to share, or that are too precious to share. No matter how lovely they are. And that is okay.
Pressuring myself this way [to share] has only ever given me more anxiety, so I’m letting myself off the captain’s hook (line and sinker, lol).
And what do you know? It doesn’t change the fact that I’ve got a lot to say and happenings are happening:
Zing zang zoom! And here they are:
RISKY FRISKY ACTIVITIES
Three months till the year is done and I am taking bounds and leaps of faith in certain things I want to do.
I don’t care about whether it will work or not.
(Okay I care. I care so much I’m drowning in it.)
I’m going full speed ahead!!
I’m taking zero suggestions (unless the ones that count)!
I’m plunging into the freezing depths of the deepest of ends.
OOPS! Let’s pray I make it out alive.
I’m kidding (kind of).
Truthfully? A part of me has decided to start believing that it will work. All of it. These projects, these ideas. I’m doing them. I’m doing them and nothing will stop me. I believe the end is a good one, so why not?
MAGICAL GIRL RECKLESS MODE ACTIVATED!
(*me when I start a new project*)
Wish me luck. Or something much, much better!
FAIRY VIDEOS
Babes, I started an amomohthefairy youtube.
Please be proud of me.
I’ve been thinking on it for some time.
After putting aside Pinterest (not in my personal life: I LOVE PINTEREST, THAT’S QUEEN. But I wrote about how it was stressing me all the way out when I was using it for the imaginarium. So I took a break), I decided to try for youtube.
I do not know what I am doing.
But I put together a type of vision board (ish?) thingy, and made a few notes (and I’ll make a few more), and I have a sort of plan (very “sort of” plan).
There are just three videos up now and so far my favorite is Princess in the Haunted Castle as an atmospheric video tale:
I really enjoyed making it: the graphics, the presentation vibes etc. It’s the first chapter of a fairytale novella i wrote some time ago. You can read the whole story, if you haven’t already, inside Fairy library or stop by youtube an check it out!
I think it’s a good attempt at the type of videos I want to make. Buuut I will make a few different kinds and hopefully I’ll figure out a rhythm that works well.
I also want to make a cute companion workbook for most, if not all, of the videos. I made a workbook for the first ever video! The first video introduced the imaginarium, fairyland, and the whole vibe of this digital world.
Teehee!
You can check out the video here. The workbook you can find by clicking the button below:
I think the best way to know if this will work is to make a bunch of videos that I enjoy and that build on something each time and see where it leads. They might not be the best at first (LOL) but I’ll get better and find new formats!
My goal: for each video to be a cute magical experience that is uplifting for your magical girl self. And that also allows you to leave with something extra—that is very cute and magical—to have fun with later (exhibit a: a cute workbook or a fairytale to read!)
If you would like to support: do leave a comment and subscribe!
(I know, I know, cliché! But still, I’m excited. I want to have fun on there and build something lovely!)
Yay!
(There are nerves, but yay!)
TUMBLR IS TUMBLING
I remember writing about how much I loved tumblr even though it was frustrating me!
(In this one essay where I was frustrated with a lot, lol!)
I love my tumblr blog, I do.
I struggled so much in the beginning; trying (and failing) to find a cadence to what I was trying to communicate.
So many thoughts, ideas, and things, swirling. I felt like I didn’t both know where to start or how to go about it.
Recently though: It feels a lot better!
I’m still figuring some things out for sure. But I feel a little less lost. Progress!!
I have a schedule on there now (MWF) of posting. And so many things in my drafts to publish. Which is such a great feeling! The steps forward are becoming clearer.
I’m also learning not to give up or be too put out when a post doesn’t do well. That always sucks (like I just cut open my heart and bled all over the linoleum floors of your apartment, and you can’t even say hello? lIKE WHAT DO YOU MEAANN-). Still, I’m moving forwards and continuing the journey.
I also declared on there that I can take breaks or change my mind in the schedule when I want/need to. I can be spontaneous and random in peace, etc (look forward to shenanigans *wink*)!
But yes, Tumblr is becoming more “the-vibes-i-want”. Yay!
(Though maybe I shouldn’t speak too soon, LOL. Honestly, I’m a little anxious talking about it now. It’s so up and down sometimes!!! However, I am hopeful :))
(There will probably be some more bumps in the road, and I’m still working it out, buuut I hope I can keep giving myself the chance to build it freely and continue to grow a better understanding of what I envision it to be!)
PHEW! Still here? That was a lot (and then some).
How is life going for you, magical girl? Are you taking random risks (for a sweet pay off!)? Are you trying something new and wading through unknown waters? Are you finally getting something just-a-tad-bit right?
Whatever it is that’s happening. Or whatever happens to happen: don’t give up, please be kind to yourself, keep spilling your mind all over the place (and in style😎), and do what’s in your heart!
We got thisssss!!!!
your favorite fairy, EVER!
