Cuteness

The cute, SPARKLY, pretty things I found in London!

Hello wonderful humans and magical girls of the world!

Welcome to springtime!

Ahhh, I already smell it in the air. Teehee!

I just got back from a trip to London and the first thing I thought of, for a fairy floss essay, was to share the joy of having found sooo many cute and MAGICAL accessories.

If I tell you shopping isn’t one of my favorite hobbies, call my bluff! I essentially went on a reasonable—because she’s reasonable-ish with her money—shopping spree!

My birthday occurred and I decided that this fairy princess deserved much cuteness to commemorate.

So, yes, I will be talking in detail about some of my fave items I found that made me feel all whimsy inside.

Note to reader: This essay is completely unserious and for your amusement!

Enjoy, my love!

I loveee rings. The sparkle, the quaint colors, the drama of it all. The more costume-y and shiny, the better!

Here are my favorite rings I found (ft. heart earrings)

The story behind these rings was a fun one:

I was gallivanting through the underground part of a general shopping mall, and it was this wonderful mishmash of food marts, DIY appliance stores, and random underwear boutiques. Amongst it all, I stumbled across a pop up store with all sorts of interesting jewelery.

I think I spent ages, and I mean AGES, agonizing over what rings to pick:

Picture me mumbling to myself: Trying on different rings, posing in front of the little round mirror tacked next to a bunch of hair clips, peeking at the price tag and beaming, 100% overly talkative with the gentleman working there. I loved it.

A snapshot of them in sunlight~

They’re so princess-y! They make me feel like I’m headed for a picnic with my band of royal companions in a wild, whimsy forest. The biggest one espeically is so bridgerton-esque, don’t you think??

Sigh, a medieval fantasy dream.

HAIR THINGAMABOBS

Claire’s! Oh, Claire’s!

How I love thee! How I have truly misseth thee over the years!

Thy generosity shall never be forgotten—such sparkly wit and bountiful quirkiness doth fill thy shelves, splendidly!

Hurrah!~

Jokes aside, I almost forgot how nostalgic and fun Claire’s can beeee!! I haven’t been inside one in sooo long: Shiny star clips, pink delicate bows, odd but lovable smile-face clips; a true accessory connoisseur’s costume treasure room!

Here are some of my faves I found at a Claire’s in London:

cutest long bow~

Clips and another bow! I love bows~

All the little star motifs~

In the same underground part of that shopping mall, I visited a small local bead supply store!

I know I’ve mentioned, in a previous blog post, about my love of bead and jewelry making. As well as how I want to do more interesting and fun things with it (pssst: there’s a whole other secret project I’m working on concerning that, too) so I was super happy locating this store.

Inside, I found a ton of unique colorful beads and pendants:

I love these seashell ones; they remind me of the bottom of the ocean and what I could find there. They have a lovely glitter to them~

Still on the ocean theme: Does this blue stone not look like a mermaid’s tail? If you squint a little? Just beautiful~ <3

A green leaf in a bubble thing? It’s giving nature fairy.

I also got an array of simple glass beads alongside the pendants:

Then I combined a couple of them with beads I already owned to make a charm/decorative piece, when I came back from London. Here’s the result:

It took a whole day to figure out the mechanics of putting it altogether, LOL. But it came out so DIY pretty!

No idea yet what this could be used for: a charm for a very big, heavy duty bag? Something cute to clip onto my jeans? A piece to decorate some curtains? To be determined, my loves.

 BUS RIDES

Okay, so this is not cuteness-accessory related in any way, but I have to say: I lOVE taking the buses in London.

They’re so clean and generally calm (especially in the mornings!). I like tucking myself into an empty seat and staring out the window the best! With the sun on my face. Sometimes, I read an ebook or just get lost in my head.

In a way, the London trip as a whole, was just like those bus rides—rejuvenating. It filled me up with excitement for this new quarter!

I hope you’re excited too, magical girl!

And if not yet—I’m sending you all the good and wonderful vibes I’m feeling now, so you can soak it up too!

To summarize the main point of this little essay:

Hey, girl! Get those accessories! Make the strange things you love! And maybe look out the window—because good things are coming soon.

Very, very soon, indeed. ;)
